The nonprofit organization Moms Demand Action worked hard across the country to establish June 1st as Wear Orange Day.
Rallies were organized across the country and the Oakland-Macomb chapter held a rally in Halmich Park, Warren on June 2nd. The event commemorated those who have lost their lives to gun violence, celebrate local students and community leaders who have worked to achieve gun legislation reform and worked to keep the momentum of the movement going.
Engage18 had a booth at the event to sell our gold Parkland shirts to raise money for the group. At the event, there were food trucks, bouncy castles, henna tattoos, as well as live music and poetry.
